A short history:
When Carthira hatched, she was all on her own. A lonely nature egg in a very green place. She made her way through the fields and found some other young dragons. She thought shed find some friends in them, but they all made fun of her. "Are you sure you belong here?" or "Just look at yourself! You are such a dark creature, we don’t want you around."
Carthira learned to hunt on her own. She got better and better at it. But she thanked the Gladekeeper for every piece of meat she got. Carthira would never hunt for fun. Only when she was really hungry. She also started to eat berries and stuff.
While she was simply trying to survive, she crossed the borders. The tangled Woods looked spooky to her, but as the other Dragons said, she’d probably belong there. Hunting wasn’t that easy anymore. Prey was harder to catch. Carthira though was afraid to eat to many berries. They all seemed toxic to her.
Dragons were not that nice either. "Green eye, you don’t belong here. Go back home!" or "Stop thanking the Gladekeeper for your food. This is the land of the Shadowbinder." were only some of the comments.
Carthira decided to continue her search. She wasn't accepted as a Nature dragon, nor was she accepted as a Shadow dragon. So, she decided to try her luck on the Starfall Isles.
First, she thought the young dragons would also make fun of her, but they showed her around, told her what they found out about the world already and accepted her within their group. Carthira learned a lot from them, and finally felt accepted.
One day, she though felt she wouldn’t belong here. Her heart still asked her to go back home, though her mind felt home already. It was a hard decision to go back home, but Carthira missed the light shining through the leaves of the forest. She missed the silent mumbling of the rivers, and she missed the sweet berries and birds singing. The Starfall Isles were pretty, but it wasn’t her home.
Back at the Viridian Labyrinth, she met another dragon, who was wandering alone. He introduced as Thrandur. Carthira immediately felt sympathy for him, so she asked, if they could take part of their journey together. He agreed.
Time passed by. They got closer and closer. Falling in love with each other, Carthira and Thrandur decided to settle down and start their own family.
About her:
Carthira has a talent for hunting. She enjoys sneaking up on prey. Moving as silent as possible and getting the small kick when she caught something. She isn’t that effective with fishing even though she tries.
Besides hunting, she loves to practice magic. She learned a lot at the Starfall Isles and is quite a good magician now. Though she can’t fit in her robes anymore, after she got blessed by the gods, she still sings to the plants to make them grow faster, or to form wood into furniture.
