Glimmer

Glimmer was different from the moment she hatched. Even though her parents called out to her in that white-filled word of the Southern Icefield, she could hear them quite fine; finding them was a different story. It was immediately apparent that she couldn't see, or at least not in any normal way. While she wasn't completely blind, she somehow had the ability to see the essence of others, the very aura of them. Very similar to having heat-vision, she gained the ability to see the life of all living things, but unable to see the things themselves.

As cool as that sounds, Glimmer calls it a curse. Though it makes it easy to distinguish all living things from each other, she has little way of knowing if she's about to walk into a wall or not without someone telling her so. Even more so, she had a deep fear of letting others find out about her condition; she rather just tell them she's blind and leave it at that. Even her parents, when they found out about her unusual eyesight, both regarded her as something other than a normal Dragon, and that's what she was scared of most. Unable to really stand the treatment she received from the others back there, even from her own siblings, she just had to leave.

Her hope is that, perhaps one day, she would find a home she could live in without the worry of being treated differently.
