MATE

Nothing is worse than an empty canvas, says Valeraine. And that's why she's dedicated herself to making her clan-mates as lovely as possible, should they desire her brilliant work. And, luckily, many do.

When not pursuing her hobby, this dragon, like any Fire dragon worth their salt, is hard at work at her forge. With her Charge by her side, her work goes swiftly--though it would anyways due to the fact that she loves it so.

Hard-working, yet impossibly and perhaps strangely laid back, you can find her by any source of flame in the lair at any given time. Originating from the Blacksand Annex, it's no surprise that her foggy new home sometimes unsettles her. What she saw in her old home is, sadly, locked in the recesses of her memory. A memory that she'd rather leave there. Either way, Lockwood, Cecelia, and the other Summoners are particularly careful to allow the mists to part at her feet, and call out to her as they walk through it themselves. There have been many a time they've found Valeraine frozen in place, trembling despite her rather brave nature.

Elethea has been a key factor in helping her get used to her home, and together, their havoc as a dynamic duo has become quite 'infamous.' At least her pranks seem a fair bit better than her Mirror companion's. Elethea's son Taji, Valeraine's Charge, has had to learn all their 'tricks of the trade' just in case he's doused with cold water again. If he has to hear the fact that he's 'steaming' mad one more time, he's threatened bodily harm. Teasingly...hopefully.

It came naturally that she became drawn to Vashon--an even harder working dragon with a sarcastic nature that was quite irresistible to the wise-cracking Valeraine herself. His love for Eirik doesn't bother her in the slightest, and was, in fact, encouraged to come to fruition by both Elethea and herself through much poking and prodding.

In the end, this strong-willed lady revels most in her 'super' fireworks, lit every festival with the greatest of gusto. Although, she has learned to not fire them around the canopy--and out in the open instead. It's a lucky thing that her Charge is also a very skilled firefighter. She often wonders if this is due to her antics...but, probably not. So she thinks.
