Biography
Borealis is a bit of a strange dragon. He doesn’t speak much about his birth clan or why he had made the journey to Nature territory. He does speak of lights, dancing in the sky. Most of the clan dismisses those tall tales as him making it up, but the hatchlings cling onto every word. He begins the tale by describing his steak to the very peak of Cloudscrape Crags. Many believed that any dragons that attempted the end endeavor would never return. Dispite the dangers Borealis loved the idea of being the one to discover something new, to be the forst dragon to see what was at the summit. Packing his bags full of as much food as it could carry he set off shortly before dawn. He couldn’t tell his clan of his plan, they would never allow him. His mother Orithil would be the most displeased come the discovery of his absence. She had always insisted that he was important, he was the first Coatl of the new family she was helping create the Bródúil Caomhnóirí. Borealis sent a silent thanks to Icewarden that his parents had gone back to their home clan the day before. Leaving him behind because of his insistance of staying in the fridged mountains.
Iseult ~ Of debated meaning, possibly "ruler of the ice" or "beautiful." In Medieval legend it was the name of an Irish princess who was to marry King Mark of Cornwall. Tristram was sent to get her, and, mistakenly drinking from a love potion that was meant for the king, they fell in love with each other.
Aquilo (“AK-wuh-loh” is the ancient Roman personification of the north wind)
Borealis (the Northern Lights’ Latin surname)
Polaris (“poh-LAIR-is,” the North Star’s proper name)
