Delphi

Delphi was having too much fun. Her mate would hardly even come near her the week of Halloween because she was so insufferably into it, and this year was worse than others. After hearing many a tale of witchcraft and wizardry, she had gotten it into her head to dress up as a befuddled seer, which might have been cute if she hadn't insisted on living in character. But what was a seer who didn't use her gift of divination? Delphi used hers liberally on her clanmates in the days leading up to Halloween, and it was never good news.

She nabbed her friend's companion comet in the middle of the night to complete the getup and tucked it away until she was ready to leave the lair on her quest for treats. She would return it when she was done, of course, and she would give Beatrice extra treats to pay her back for the involuntary loan, but she was a seer, and even a bad one needed a crystal ball.

And now she traveled about, sharing her "gift" in exchange for treats, leaving tales of doom in her wake.

She approached the next lair and shook her mane for some last minute frizz. When the inhabitant appeared before her, she held the comet up and stared into it wild-eyed.

"Your future," she breathed, "is GRIM. You are in grave danger! Trust no one."

She leaned in close and tucked the ball away, bringing out her sack of collected treats and whispering, "trick or treat" with a grin.
