Timid, introverted, extremely loyal and reasonable

His shiny yet dark coating makes it easy for him to blend in at night, and uses it to play with Iris' shiny trinkets in the middle of the night. Socialising with other dragons make him nervous and so far his only friends are RisingDawn and Ray.
Trust Dawn to befriend complete strangers when they step into the lair! When Ray joined the clan, Dawn saw to it that the three of them became inseparable. Always going on adventures and finding new treasures, they were never short of trouble. Opal constantly complains about the Explorations, but deep down, he likes it.
Many doubt his choice of Familiar, Amber, as the two were so different, but really it just followed him home one day after an Exploration and never really left. When Explorations get dangerous, Opal dons the suit and fights hard. Once the danger has gone, the Familiar hops off to clean and mend itself, sometimes with help from Rustle.
