The second in command at HANC.

Shank (coming from "Shadow Hank") is, at first glance, a serious, cold, no-nonsense kinda guy- a stark contrast to the carefree nature of his best friend and leader, Crank. He often acts somewhat pessimistic, and rolls his eyes at the shenanigans of his group. It'd be easy to think that Shank is the real leader, or at the very least acts as Crank's impulse control and as the level-headed one. Given his general demeanor, you wouldn't be faulted for assuming so.

This couldn't be further from the truth, however; Shank is just as much of an idiotic dork as Crank, and is equally as likely to geek out about all things Hank. He's just a bit more reserved, but his enthousiasm? On par with Crank. Just as much, despite his best attempts at looking like the responsible one... well, he's just not. He'll easily go along with Crank's crazy ideas without much of a fuss- which included starting a fanclub based around an infamous mercenary.

While usually, Shank will look rather disinterested about what's going on around him, or even act annoyed at some things, it's rather easy to draw him into geeking out about his favorite things. He's also a bit of a thrill-seeker, and regardless of his feeble protests every time it happens, he's easily the most excited member of HANC whenever they go out to train against Grunty's little minions in the industry grounds. His biggest joy is to trigger the alarms by walking in view of the cameras, and sniping down the resulting Tintop guard robots that swarm out with his signature wind magic. Given his natural speed (capable of keeping up with Crank), he can easily run away when things get too hairy, too. That's something he's got over Crank, at the very least; he knows when it's time to go.

Shank is also pretty proficient with a lot of weaponry, but tends to prefer elemental rifles and guns, enjoying being able to use bolts of different elements to get the upper hand against enemies. As is befitting from a member of HANC, who lives and breathes Hank, he dresses like the mercenary, and trains in the hopes of one day becoming just as good as him at fighting.

All in all, a big dork who tries to hide under a serious, edgy persona. A little in love with Crank, but respectful of them being aro, so he doesn't pursue anything other than his friendship, which is, in his eyes, more than enough. Sure- he'll sometimes sigh and moan about it at Yank, but that's all.
