Biography

UBERTA
The Lost Monarch

Clan Role: Ex-Queen
Mate: Rogers
Pronouns: she/her
Bio: The widowed Queen Uberta had it pretty good for a while, her son stepping up wonderfully into his role as the next in line for the throne and her daughter-in-law shaping up to be a wonderful queen after her. She was able to spend most of her days in happy idleness, dancing and reading and singing and holding parties. And bothering her favorite of the minor lords in her kingdom, Rogers, who had helped advise her and her late husband as well as her son. But then...an old, dark magic resurfaced, an enemy played a dirty trick, and her kingdom fell into evil hands.

Uberta's daughter-in-law and son were turned into animals and sent off into the forest. Though Uberta insisted on trying to fight, faithful old Rogers, who blamed himself for the whole affair, practically dragged her off, promising they could search for her missing children later, and take the kingdom back after that.

In exile now, Uberta is still the spitfire she always was, despite her advanced years. Though she likes having a bit of fun, with dancing being one of her favorite leisure activities, when the time comes for action she gives orders with no hesitation. It's easy to tell how she managed to rule a kingdom and keep it prosperous for so long, even with as many clans as lived in it.

Uberta is convinced there is some magic she can use to find her missing children, and the search for it has led her (and Rogers) to the Borogrove. She has found a kindred spirit in Serenia, the matriarch who rules in the area--or at least, someone who actually puts up with Uberta's loquaciousness. Though determined to see her goal through, Uberta is a little distracted by trying to help offer new ideas for Clan Mimsy, about how to put all their curious varied dragons and magical resources to best use.
