Biography

As the self-appointed Archivist of a backwater, research-heavy clan, Carrie proofreads, organizes, and cares for written works that are produced or owned by her clanmates, as well as the ... safer artifacts that come into the group's possession.

Drawn to the Southern Icefield by its denizens' notable love of history and her own desire for independence from large, stuffy organizations, Carrie enjoys the freedom that comes with being in charge of a smaller collection of work. Far from antisocial, she readily involves herself in projects that give her the opportunity to work directly with many other dragons, and has a lot of claws in a lot of pies. She has a low tolerance for rude or stuck-up dragons though, and is more than happy to leave them hanging until they think to get over themselves.

Wears dark clothing mostly for others' sake, prefers brightly-colored and glittery accessories and eccentric decor. This makes her well-liked by hatchlings, much to the chagrin of parents who would like her to better mind her language around them. At least she gets them to read?

Notable dragons:

Alongside his sisters, Ada, Rosalind, and Florence, Albert was one of the first dragons born into his clan. As the more reserved sibling, as well as the odd one out, Albert is somewhat hard to get to know, and it is easy to miss his quick, subtle sense of humor and general admiration of the world around him.

Much to the surprise of others, he is very much a romantic, being gentle, intimate, and playful with the few-and-far-between friends and partners that come into his life. Frequently visits his parents with a gift or two in tow.

Sister to Rosalind, Florence, and Albert,Ada was one of the first dragons born into her clan. Her innovative problem-solving skills and ambitious nature would make for a great leader... had she the charisma to match.
As it is, Ada finds great frustration in her attempts to convince others that it is worth it to hear her out. Luckily, a handful of critical successes have gained her a few excellent references, and a few more friends; Ada finds it much easier to work when someone who knows her is involved.

Rosalind, along with her sisters Ada and Florence, and their brother, Albert, was one of the first dragons born into her clan. Though a quiet child like her brother, Rose inherited her mother's love of tinkering and alchemy, and her quiet is more often than not a precursor to some mischief.

An avid swimmer and gardener, Florence enjoys spending her time outdoors, delving deep into the ocean in search of interesting fish and treasures, or the wild in search of plants she can take trimmings of. She is also an excellent navigator, needing only to travel somewhere once before she can find her way there again with ease.
