Chronicle spent most of her youth among a small group of dragons who fancied themselves adventurers. They would travel all over Sornieth, looking far and wide for treasures and trouble. No quest was too dangerous and no issue too large for the group to take on, and they became (in)famous for their recklessness and daring. Chronicle learned to trust in her bow and her own confidence as she hunted monsters, delved into old ruins, and saved clans from beastclan attacks.

However, the adventure could not go on forever, and one day the group finally took on more than they could handle. Exactly what happened is unknown, and the truth is buried deep inside an old mausoleum somewhere in the Sunbeam Ruins. Somehow, Chronicle managed to drag herself from the depths of that place, but not without scars to show for it. The left side of her face is slashed as if by some giant beast. Her mouth is marred by silver scars, her tongue almost split in half from the attack, leaving her with a sputtering and halting speech.

Because of her impediment Chronicle could never hope to tell what really happened down in those depths, even if she wanted to. After the incident, she went to wander, seeking to isolate herself from a world that was burning with questions she could not answer. She left behind a name of fame and wealth, carrying only her trusted bow and the stories she'd had written of her own and her friends' adventures. She had intended to publish those stories when they were all old and content; now it seems wrong when she's the only one who survived.

Chronicle is still a formidable hunter, and she used that skill to keep her alive in the unknown wilderness. Eventually, she stumbled upon the Silence Clan, and seeing others like her, others who could not speak, she found that she had missed company so terribly. She chose to stay, and the Clan found great use in her hunting skills, the stories of her past buried beneath her silence, a secret that is respected in equal to those of the other clanmembers.

She rediscovered her love for writing and was given the name Chronicle for her likeness to write about events and the history of the Clan. When she's not out hunting, she works closely with Anno, categorizing and writing the Clan's history in proper. His vow of silence and way with written words has deeply impressed her, and something other than friendship has blossomed in her heart. While Anno seems to suspect nothing, Chronicle is determined to tell him of her feelings someday, when her old courage returns. She just has to figure out how.
