personality: pragmatic warrior princess, stern, wise.


The Southern Icefields are a harsh place. Elsa, former princess of Clan Alarthia, knows this well. It's hard to live in the icy tundra that makes up the Icewarden's domain.

Elsa's family were warrior kings and queens, she's from a long line of them. they protected the dragons of Clan Alarthia, and all the dragons worked together to survive.

Battles with other clans over territory and food happened regularly. There were many a scarred clanmate in Alarthia.

One day, when she was much younger, the clan was attacked, but this time it was different. Rival clans had banded together to defeat Clan Alarthia, as they thought they were too strong and would push them all out of the area if they hadn't (later on those same clans go back to fighting amongst each other).

It was a slaughter. So many dragons died that day: sleeping elders murdered in their dens down to the nesting dragons with their eggs. The rival clans would be forever haunted by the slaughter they started, wearing the scars-- in body and mind --from this massive battle for the rest of their days. the other clans tried to take prisoners, but Clan Alarthia fought hard; none would be taken prisoner, all would want to die an Alarthian.

Blood drenched the hoarfrost, all over every den. Elsa was horrified. She had been out on a hunting expedition with a small group of warriors when the battle started. By the time they got home, the battle was nearly completely over. Dragons littered the ground, Alarthian and foe alike. Rivals that lay dying were quickly dispatched, and the clanmates not dead yet were made to be comfortable until their last breath.

The remaining warriors from the hunting expedition looked to Elsa for leadership, what should they do next, but then things got even worse. Enemies came back to loot and found the last living Alarthians. More battle was had, ending with Elsa fleeing for her life once she was the last dragon left in her clan. She stayed hidden in the area, and went back to the ruins of her home once all the enemy dragons were finished fighting over the clan's hoard. She found little left over, but gathered what she could. She then used her frost magic to encase all the bodies of her fallen clanmates in ice, to preserve the horror of what happened to her beloved clan and famliy.

A reminder of what their enemies had done. Alarthia shall be a monument to their sins.

Elsa now lives on the opposite side of the world, away from the horrors she witnessed that day. The Viridian Labyrinth is quite different to what she's used to. Food in the Clan of Fallen Leaves is abundant, and all kinds of dragons live in their territory. Which is lucky for her, really; where else is she supposed to go?

Elsa helps out with clan duties, like gathering and hunting for food, and helping build and fix homes of clan members who need renovations.
