Shriek

What a racket! This noisy little lady and her mate fill the room audibly, and visually, with the noises they make. A pure disturbance to every dragon that comes along too, rather unwanted around the lair but for their friend, Silence, who is the lair's beloved healer. Silence had cast off her plague nature to join the nature lair in creating cures for the illnesses created by her former patron. How she puts up with Noise and Shriek is up for debate all over the place! Since nobody seems to understand their chatter, which is so different from the monotone sounds of other faes, even other faes don't want them around...just Silence.


The Survivor

Memories. Horrors. Pain. Burning green fluid. Horrified screams of her mate. Horrid smells. Toxic tastes. Fire burning within her...and then a bravery...a single pair of claws grasping her and her mate by their tails. And silence...and waking up unable to stop it, every word they've ever heard in their lives all comes out, out of both of their mouths, shattering the silence around them. A joined mind. Burning wings and scales bathed in bandages and balm. Soothing sounds from the one tending them. Minds merged in chaos. Exhaustion. Flying again. The endless noise they can't drown out erupting from shared mouths. Vitriolic spewing of hateful premonitions they cannot control. Her mate...and her own mouth, unending shrieks and screams that never end.

Only tolerated by Silence. Cared for by Silence. Silence and her healing claws...her and only her. She sits in silence, listening to them scream. And they love her deeply though they can never speak it. She knows. Sister of their heart.
