MEANING OF NAME: Deaton is a name that was carried to England in the great wave of migration from Normandy following the Norman Conquest of 1066. ... They descended from the distinguished Norman family of Picot d'Auton, and it is from that local name, which means from Auton, that the surname derives.

TRAINER/CARETAKER: White Grizzly

Deaton’s Personality:

______ Deaton is very confident and clear headed, taking his role as a trainer for the younger guardians very seriously. He is not one to mince words, but instead likes to get right to the point. He believes that injuries and setbacks come with the job of being a protector. While teaching the young guardians, Deaton is stern, but also gives praise where it is due.

Because of his position, the Imperial male does not quite partake in going out late at night into the small towns and finding a place to engorge Dragons Fire (Ale). In fact, if he catches any of the younger dragons that he is currently training in a Dragons Fire den, they are immediately punished and kept on a probation period. This may seem like the tough way of getting a point across, but becoming a guardian for a Clan is no funny business.

Because of his position he grew very close to Gispon, although at first he seemed more than a little cool towards the smaller female, since she seemed a bit more bubbly than most Ice Elementals, but her determination to be better than most of the Guardians within the Clan was what caught his eye at first. As time went on and as Gispon elegantly stepped into her new role as a Guardian for the Clan, she was a natural, one of his best students. Even though they were close to the same age, he was taught all the rules and the ways to teach dragons to fight, to stay quiet, and to use their natural abilities to their best advantage.

However, it did not take long for Deaton and Gispon to fall for one another, becoming mates shortly after she became a full fledged Guardian of the Clan. Deaton also comes from a line of Warriors from another Clan of Dragons, however his bloodline is very healthy and strong among his relatives. He is aware that it could be from Gispons side of the family that could be causing the defects and health issues among their hatchlings. Deaton is not worried about the issues among their children, he knows that they will have a role in life, no matter their defect or health issue, there is always a way to succeed.
