HERCULANEUM is an additional town that was engulfed in the hot ashes which poured down from Vesuvius.

Otherborn dragons lead what most call a pitiful life, a life deprived of most basic of needs. A family. Nevertheless, this is the best life that Herculaneum could have wished for, for at least he had a life. After being the sole dragon to survive the disaster that struck his hometown Herculaneum, he was discovered by Boreas, an Ageis. Boreas was reporting the disaster dubbed as the 'Black Snow' when he spotted the lone egg that soon sprouted the small Nocturne dragon known as Herculaneum. Boreas took him under his wing and spoke to the half deities for their approval to make Herculaneum his Ageiscite. Having witnessed the disaster for themselves, the half deities ratified Boreas' appeal, thus now Herculaneum became a member of the Vale.

In his youth, Herculaneum was treated the same as other hatchlings. Not once did he feel outcasted, which commonly is a problem for Ageiscites who are assimilated at an older age. In these joyful times, Herculaneum met his - now lifelong - friend Pilna, the Five-toed Pilco. Pilna and Herculaneum spent their times chasing after butterflies in the Everglades, both's desires unsated.
