There's always going to be someone who's problems are worse than yours, That doesn't mean yours are stupid

______ Cautious but curious, ShimmeringWater has a love, and a knack, for making new friends. Who couldn't love this little troublemaker? He often patrols the outermost reaches of our TideLord's domain, swimming along the deserts of the Lightning flight. Despite differences in the flights, he rather has one dragon he likes to pick on when he goes by. All in good fun, of course, he could never actually hurt someone.

______ ShimmeringWater is the last of his siblings alive, and feels the need to cling to the ones he loves with the fear that if he lets go, they'll disappear too. Though hurt, he does his best to remain a positive influence on his own children and mate, who refuses to truly love him, lashing out at him. Whether in good fun or in anger, he can't tell, so he simply takes it, protecting his children from a mother who may not always want them.

The story of how the warring general met his brokenhearted mate, and dispelled a cold curse

Shimmeringwater was cursed because he was forbidden to love. WaterFlight was currently at war, and a General sought love instead of his duties, one of the Superiors from the WaterFlight cursed him for his insolence. This would all be done in an attempted to keep Shimmeringwater loyal to their cause and his duties as a General. The curse states that- "No dragon of the sea may love, less the song of their heart match his own." Essentially, Shimmeringwater would be cursed with a sirens heart; only those who's heart's song matched his could mate him. This would be made even worse if the song was specially crafted to be basically impossible to duplicate; as the song is woven out of pure sorrow.

Shimmeringwater leads a small army to the Lightning front in an attempt to surge and take it for TideLord. Everyone has heard of Shimmeringwater and his terrifying curse.

-added not on his curse-
If the females heartsong didn't match, their hearts would break, killing them instantly. Dragons would just be dropping all around him.

LightningFlight dragons would be scrambling and readying their forces as this unstoppable abomination crawled out from the sea with his horde of followers. Venommaw would be amongst the front ranks preparing to fight these dragons head on. Once they've collected at the beach, no one wants to approach Shimmeringwater with the threat of instant death. Venommaw having felt unbearable sorrow over her past, does not care if she dies. Venommaw steps forward amongst the cowering masses and challenges Shimeringwater head-on; unafraid.

And as if the air around them knew of the upcoming battle, the cool winds from the sea and the scorching winds from the dessert collide; causing a monsoon to rage over the dragons. Lightning flashes and the sky is brought to life with cobalt bolts of lightning and pouring rain. The beach is turned into a dangerous battlefield of quick-sand and unsteady earth. Venommaw approaches Shimmeringwater with surprising grace as the rain falling around her turns to sleet and the pools of water in her wake turn to solid sheets of ice. Tiny shards of glass-like ice blossom up from under her pads as she tries to stabilize the sand to compensate for her weight. As she prowls towards Shimeringwater with a warriors ferocity, she's taken back by an eerie song that has filled the air...

The song quickly silences the clash of the lighting and heavy sheets of rain. All listen, awestruck, to the sirens song. The storm rages on, but she can't hear it. Venommaw can't hear anything but the song filling the void of sound the battlefield. Not one dragon has opened their mouths. Venommaw stands paralyzed as she listens to the cries of a dragon that sounds eerily like herself. It was her voice. But how was this possible? She herself has not opened her maw, but somehow, she was singing. For the first time in a very lone time, Venommaw felt uncertain. She was afraid. Was this his challenge? Venommaw dug her claws deeply into the sand and beneath her and snarled. If this was his challenge, she would face it with the furry of one-thousand dragons. She began to focus her entire being on the words that were flowing from her heart. She began to imagine putting incredible force into her words, and as she did so, the monsoon around them began to exhibit a newfound fury. The siren song began to become more aggressive as what she could only assume was the opposing dragons voice matched her ferocity. He looked surprised, but tactfully increased the volume of his voice. Venommaw could feel an agonizing burning in her chest as his voice filled the air. She didn't have to guess what he'd say next, she knew every word. Her heart throbbed until she could take no more. Her lips parted and she began to truly sing, matching the words in her heart. The storm around them had reached its climax.

The sea was now as angry as a writhing serpent that looked as if it could swallow them whole. As if in tune with the seas anger, the largest bolt of lightning perhaps any dragon had ever seen, struck the central spire with a intense CRACK. Venommaw's gaze hardened on her opponent. He too was now singing from his toothy maw. Her eyes widened as she noticed an amber glow pulsating from his chest. A sudden warmth overcame her as the same amber glow emanated from chest. Tears began to flow freely from her eyes as she bellowed the words burning in her heart. As she looked up, she could plainly see that the same tears fell from his face. As she felt the final verse leave her lips, Venommaw aproached her opponent and placed her head on his; softly weeping the final words.
