I N K W E L L
"Someone must record the histories of this clan, and that someone is me."

Inkwell is the clan's scribe. She discovered her love of writing and recording as a young hatchling, and now as a fully grown dragon, uses her inky black saliva to write with. This 'dragon ink' as the clan has taken to calling it can be seen sloshing about in her throat and belly.

Inkwell was born in the far southern icefield, but soon after her hatching was mostly ignored by her parents. As a result of not being watched closely enough, she wandered off across the ice, following a sea bird. By the time she realised she could no longer see her clan's den, she'd wandered so far out that she couldn't find her way back, and spent that night curled up on the cold ice, shivering.

The next day, she awoke to a dark shape circling above her head. Looking up, she saw that it was a large pink spiral. Inkwell shrieked and dove behind a rock. Starlight landed, laughing, and padded quietly towards Inkwell's hiding place. After an hour of talking, they decided that the little Pearlcatcher would return to the Windswept Plateau with Starlight, and join their clan. There she has remained ever since.
