Amezera's Diary wrote:
A few nights ago I met with an older Tundra. He introduced himself as Wolf, and as he seems both friendly and honest, I decided to let him join me on my travels. He gives me much-needed company and it feels pleasant to be able to share my thoughts with another dragon once more. As we've walked, I've shared my story with him, and he his with me. He hails from this Shadow realm, as is evident by his purple eyes, but he only recently returned to this area: He's travelled far and wide and seen most of Sornieth, which stirs admiration and awe in me. I realised my knowledge and experience of the world is puny in size compared to his, as I've only seen the Shifting Expanse and, now, a small part the Tangled Wood.
We made camp for the night yesterday. Wolf shared the last of his rations with me, and I thanked him humbly. We spoke until the moon was high on the sky, then I slept while he insisted to stand watch. We set out again early this morning. The faint sunlight could barely penetrate the dense tree tops, and I could feel a cool breeze on my scales. Wolf seemed content that he had his warm coat of fur to protect him.
When the sun reached its highest point, I felt something tug at me on the inside; something that caused me to suddenly bolt in one direction, ducking under low branches and vines and leaping over logs. Wolf could barely keep up, but I was unable to stop. Eventually my legs came to a halt, and I found myself in a clearing where the grass was green and soft. I looked up, and in front of me towered a great, tall tree; taller and thicker than any tree I'd ever seen, its crown stretching towards the Stormcatcher high above, and I knew... that I had found my Charge.
