History
"What is this but another adventure?"

Like many of his clanmates, Roland spent the majority of his life wandering. Born on the peaceful banks of Singer’s Brook, he thought for many moons that this would remain his home. But something called him to travel beyond the breezy, verdant lands of his birth. The dark lands just past Flotsam Town was a siren song. Roland couldn’t help but follow it. So he gathered his belongings, saved some treasure, and began his long trek through unfamiliar lands.

The Scarred Wasteland wasn’t kind to Roland, and as he travelled through those ragged, merciless lands, he questioned his decision to leave the Steppes. Were he still there, death and conflict wouldn’t harry him at every turn. Were he still there, he wouldn’t be bartering away all but his most dear possessions. He wouldn’t be scrapping with packs of Beastclan mirrors just to survive. But it was too late, he reminded himself. The only way through was forward. And so he kept moving, until the cool shadows he saw across the water were finally within reach.

Roland never deluded himself into thinking that he would immediately find a home within the Foxfire Bramble. Just because he had made it to his physical destination didn’t mean that he was done. So he kept moving. Where the Wasteland was violent and unforgiving, the Wood was tricky and unknowable. He thanked his lucky stars that his coloration blended in slightly, even if his bright green eyes gave him away. Still, the dragons he met here weren’t unkind. Reserved and hard to read, but - in general - not hostile. Roland eventually settled amongst a rag tag group of dragons who had also recently immigrated to the realm of the Shadowbinder. He fell in and out of love with a few there, and even had hatchlings with a mirror who was so very different than those he clashed with in the Wastes. Most of those hatchlings left to parts unknown, drawn to different packs as was their nature. But one stayed, watched, learned and listened to the magic all around him. Little did Roland know that his child would be touched by the Shadowbinder and lead them all to greatness. The foundation of the Coven was built.
