______ Liches have been gifted with an unconventional afterlife, so to speak, breathed into them by the Plaguebringer herself as a testament to rival deities that not even death can limit her power. These creatures arise within burial grounds where Ghost sightings are frequent, as they are sent by the Mother of Disease to perform a true resurrection. The exact process is unknown. Although these dragons appear sickly and often emaciated, they are very active and hardly encumbered by logical limitations of physicality. They also do not require rest or sustenance. Once arisen, a Lich’s soul returns to settle within its gems, which are believed to be the source of their seemingly endless sustainability. This makes them exceedingly more difficult to destroy; not even fire is an absolute end. The only way to ensure death is to meticulously shatter every last glittering formation on their bodies. On rare occasion a Lich with return with spines as opposed to gems, and these must be extracted to conquer the dragon. Good luck trying to restrain one long enough to accomplish this!
