INSENT
-He/Any-
-Gardener-
-Nature Rep-

natureb1.png
Insent originates from a lair of thunder and sparks within the Shifting Expanse, far from the greenery and flora he wished to surround himself with. When he moved to the Noctiluca lair, he found things slightly easier, though its original windy home made keeping plants from blowing away tricky. Despite the location being somewhat more hospitable, Insent was no closer to his dream of a flora-filled home resembling the lands of the Viridian Labyrinth. Terra-Tortoise.gif
Once the group moved again, he had trouble planting flora ordinarily, but the time he spent in the garden caused some of his plants to grow on him. Within the Hewn City, the lack of light makes gardening difficult, so Insent moved slightly outside the lair, to where some sunlight managed to break through the shade. 22.png
Bamboo-Phytocat_FLIPPED.gif Despite his rather unsettling appearance, Insent isn't a dragon most of the lair is afraid of. Kind-hearted and always honest, he does everything he can for the others in the lair, and works tirelessly to keep his gardens cared for. He's rather oblivious, many social cues going right past him, so he sometimes struggles to keep up in conversation.

"Insent! Are you home?" A voice calls out from outside, waking Insent from his nap."We found some seeds while gathering, not of any type we can identify!"With a slight sigh, the ridgeback stretches in the sunny patch and stands up, yawning a bit.

"You want me to identify them?"He responds, slowly making his way to the entrance of his home, gently brushing vines out of the way with his wing to see who's visiting.

"Actually, I was thinking you would just grow them?" Cuture responds, climbing up a pillar to be at Insent's eye level. She holds a fabric bag, green in colour and tied with a shimmering golden string."It could be an interesting surprise!"

"Hmm, in theory... But to care for my plants properly, I'd prefer to know what they are. I can't give them the best possible care without knowing the specific needs of the plant." Insent mumbles quietly, taking the seeds from Cuture."I could try, but I don't know if that would go well."

"I'm sure you can do it!" The doctor encourages, hopping to another pillar, careful to not let her larger claw cut a vine."If anyone in the lair can, it's you. I mean really, with your skill in gardening, it's a wonder we still need to bother going out to gather plants." After a short moment of consideration, and the slightly confused expression Insent wears, she clarifies."I say that as a joke, of course. You can't be expected to provide for the lair yourself. I'd argue we shouldn't be relying on your gardens for food at all, considering this is what makes up your home." Cuture gently brushes at a small flower bush growing on one of the pillars, looking around the vines connecting different pillars, carefully grown to create woven walls. "It looks beautiful. Your dream- no, your home. Such a thing shouldn't be carelessly harvested for dinner, especially not when you've spent your life trying to create it."

"Thank you. I'm proud of my work, even if it's taken ages. I just pray Galla and Sol will understand when I say I won't be growing for the lair anymore."

"I'm sure they will. And if they don't... We'll figure something out. I promise." Cuture hops back onto the ground. "I have to head back to the clinic and store these herbs. Let me know if you need help, yes? Just say the words or send for me, and I'll be here."

"Of course. Thank you, Cuture. Stay safe." Insent nods to the doctor as she leaves and heads back inside, planting the new seeds before laying back down in his sunny patch for a nap.
