~ Star Op Notes ~

The night was cold as he trained his eyes on his parents, the bright flash of their eyes visible in the moonlight. He could hear their words as the wind swirled around him, eager to serve him.

"They say he's the Stormmaker." Rourke, his father.

"Does it matter? Gale will always be our child. We have to help him." Amethyst, his mother.

"Gale is beyond help." A softer voice interrupted them. "No one has had powers like him. Not in a long, long time."

"They say dragons like him gather at the Forsaken Promise. We could send him there." Rourke said, his voice quiet. Amethyst whirled on him, her purple feather flying. "We are not sending my son into that hellhole." Her voice was fierce. "The Forsaken Promise is called forsaken for a reason! Anyone that goes there is already dead."

As he watched his parents, the wind stilled around him, clouds gathering high above as his senses went on high alert. A slim figure stepped towards him, concealed from his parents and the other dragon by the night shadows.

"Starfall." His eyes widened. The Hunter, his winds whispered.

She nodded ever so slightly, her ever present companions, a Red-Tailed Boa and a Tatterwing Carcass, following her every move. "I've come to offer you a deal."

He raised his eye ridge, no longer listening to his parents conversation. "I can teach you to master your abilities." Starfall said, and somehow, he knew she wasn't lying. Strange.

"How?" His voice was a whisper.

"Come with me, Gale. You were destined for more than this." She held out a armored talon, and Gale looked down at it hesitantly.

The promise has been made, his winds said as they sat by his side. You know it.

Gale did know it. He placed his right talon in hers. She smiled softly, reassuringly, her eyes glimmering with a deep set pain. But with one blink, it dispersed.

"Let's go."

Gale learned the art of Death itself under Starfall's instruction, taking the name Stormmaker with the growing of his abilities. Soon, his particular affinity for wind and storms had spread itself across the lands, and his calling as an assassin only served to strengthen his reputation.

Starfall and Gale parted ways after his instruction was done, but not after she gifted him Saya, his Storm Seeker. Together, they haunt the lands, storms stirring in their wake. He wears a hood and mask to conceal his true emotions, so that each of his targets can only see his eyes before he slits their throat or strangles them.

It has been several months since anyone has heard of the Stormmaker. One can only wonder what he may be up to...
