Accidentally kidnapped as a hatchling, Aster came into the crew of the Lady Rose through Alohomora, who apparently thought he was some sort of rabbit. Now firmly part of the crew (they couldn't just give him back what happened if no one wanted him), Aster is resident carpenter for the ship and occasional plant mage. Named after the barrel of plants he consumed as a hatchling, Aster is as bright as the flowers he consumed. He's got an excellent memory for a tundra and can memorize whole books in one sitting. He and Edison (resident inventor) are often found perched over books together or feverishly discussing the probabilities of certain magics. A nature dragon he is as caring and nurturing as expected. When the crew docks and he doesn't have something to repair (STOP BLOWING HOLES IN MY SHIP CAPTAIN), he's often helping Mire with the hatchlings.

Somehow Tia has managed to convince Aster she likes him as more than a friend. Since Aster himself is super slow on uptake in these situations it was a surprise to all when he finally managed to get it. Happily mated to Tia he spends his days working on the ship, working on secret projects for the captain, and snuggling. Lots of snuggling.
