She likes the feeling of lawlessness that comes from clandestine deals. There's a spark of rebellion, of resistance, though she isn't sure to what, and it gives her drive that nothing else ever has. That spark burns brightest when she is hired as a thief, but she is equally content to act in a mercenary capacity too. Her claws are sharp enough to fight, her words smooth enough to make peace. She has the speed and dexterity of a thief, and the charisma of an assassin who gets close before the kill. All around, her skills are varied and impressive, and she learns new ones all the time as a matter of course. She's good, and eventually, she's going to be the best. Rajani's main love is beauty, brightness, sparkle and movement. Her lair, a deep cave cut into the rock under Oakheart, is decorated lavishly with the most expensive and glittering things imagineable. She hired glassmakers and jewelers like Sundance and Frangelico to create great glittering chandeliers, multi-tiered, whose pouring fountain-like cascades are fair dripping in priceless jewels and metals. No one knows how one small, relatively young fae could have so much unsurpassed wealth- and more than that, no one knows how she manages to keep Goldentop out of her hoard- some say she cast a spell against thieves, that anyone who enters the lair, forgets everything they saw and forgets their intention to enter entirely. So how anyone knows what the actual interior looks like, to spread these rumours, is anyone's guess. Rajani arrived shortly after the Firefall, when the clan was still rebuilding and she donated a princely sum of deep-stone gems to the treasury as a 'goodwill gesture' to accompany her acceptance into Oakheart. Not normally swayed by such a thing, particularly since it was an outsider literally buying their way in, Knight-Commander Solus oddly accepted the strange Fae's proposal without question. It was the subject of much gossip, and the two seem to be increasingly spending a lot of time together, particularly near dusk or dawn. No one has ever seen her at night, though. Ever.

Rajani introduced herself as an Inquisitioner from the Order of the Sun Soul. Said there had been some mix-up at headquarters that meant she'd been sent here to investigate the Shade presence, before headquarters had recieved the memorandum that Ketara had already left for that purpose. When Goldanna asked ever-so-politely why this didn't mean Rajani should return from whence she came, since the clan was already under Sun Soul control, and there wasn't any call for her, Rajani's only response was to fan her frills, and with the emotionless voice that only a Fae can achieve, she replied unhelpfully; 'The best place to hide something dark is the heart of a star- a place so bright that people stop looking.'
Ketara was her usual unhelpfully taciturn self, when Goldanna asked about Rajani. "She's not the Fae I remember her being." Was all Ketara could say on the subject.
And of course, when Ketara was tragically killed in that Shade attack on the travelling caraven a few months back, well... what a strangely convenient accident that was.
