Biography

STRONGJAW
librarian, cat friend
header_books_by_dogi_crimson-dadvbsf.png
Copper Halfmoon Spectacles
Battered Book of Fables
Forest Field Guide

Gentle, bookish and prone to common sense. A homebody who is nonetheless full of wisdom from his readings and research. Welcomed into the nature clan because his prodigious knowledge is no less exhaustive when it comes to plant and animal husbandry, he was happy to accept the invitation because the abundant, flourishing life of the Labyrinth (plus the hard work of the clan) means he can surround himself with creature comforts.

Though the clan he's living in doesn't have much truck with his methods of learning (books, scrolls, and historical records)--preferring instead to experiment with magic, husbandry and biological curiosities--Strongjaw's always ready to catalog their results, keeping diligent and careful records of the things they've learned. His affable nature and precise bookkeeping mean that even normally prickly dragons are happy to work with him or include him in their research.

His curiosity is omnivorous, and he's overjoyed to get his claws on information from any discipline--especially from far away, as he's not much of a traveler himself. Any trip more vigorous than roaming the stacks to find the right text is one he'd rather pass on.

Though he has no trouble finding common ground with anyone he meets, he's perfectly happy left alone, and rarely feels much need to seek out social company. A new book or line of research is all he needs to stay focused and occupied for days at a time.

It's not unusual to find him up late into the night, lit by bioluminescent fungi and night-blooming flowers, poring over a threadbare book with a samovar of herbal tea and a cat or two curled and sleeping by his side.
