Biography
PINE
COLISEUM TRAINER
Sun and I have a mutual agreement. She's the strongest; I'm the best at explaining.

The drenching humidity of the Mire was suffocating. I pulled my haunches from the mud as Sehrli trod a few paces behind me. Slowly, we turned to face Kei. Having only been trained for about a week, she was sorely outmatched for the demons we faced. All the while she maintained a flat expression. Her talons gripped the tangled vines under her feet, exerting a type of tenacity and force I didn't think she had left in her. We finally came to a clearing, unsure of where our enemies lay. Our goal was to bring home an abandoned Brilliant Psywurm. His cries could be heard from the Peridot Caves, and the Gaolers sent us to procure and raise the child. It was hours that we lay there, tired and emaciated, waiting for action. The Sun faded into the dark. It was only then that an army of podids made their appearance. We were far outmatched, and Sehrli was already bleeding. She couldn't handle another break. I looked over at my friend candidly, awaiting a response. Sehrli simply avoided my eyes, not wanting to face me. If I was saying we had no chance, we had no chance. Flurries of attacks were sent our way, leaving us both beaten. Sehrli blacked out. I heard her large frame hit the floor as her wings curled up towards the sky. I thought I was alone, before I felt cold ice crawling across the ground. Above the chaos, Kei always rises. She was there when I needed her, on opened wings hurling spells towards our opponents. She eliminated the podids one by one, before falling to her knees, exhausted. I was afraid she couldn't breathe. "Kei," I started. I began to saunter towards my trainee, who had ended up teaching me. "No," she breathed, but it was too late. A bright bolt hurdled from under her wing and hit me squarely in the chest. I wheezed, laughing as a rounded scar was scorched into my stomach. The blistering pain radiated across my neck and into my hips, but I didn't care. Kei slowly moved her wing. Rested securely in her talons was a very unamused Brilliant Psywurm. |
