Legend of the Starlit Storytelling
As according to Marlowe

"In the beginning," the coatl clears his throat and wraps his tail around his foreclaws, "we were not a clan of Light, but of Nature. The clan was founded upon two dragons, Tor the wise and Rill the mighty, and they had a dream; to take in the lost and forlorn dragons, those without a family and give them a home."
"It was a noble dream indeed," the coatl nods wistfully, "and I joined in support early on. Tor was a mighty shield; calm yet bold, a gentle leader, and Rill was his sword; sharp, quick, and clever, yet loyal to a fault. It was a very mirthful prosperous time."
"However," he sighs, "it was not to last. One fateful day, the clan leaders disappeared into the thickets without a word, and the clan itself fell apart."
"We tried to hold through it the best we could, but food was scarce, and it seemed as if all the elements were against us." He gazed into the distance, emotionless. "Gladekeeper was not kind to us. We lost many fine dragons those few months."
"By this point we'd been wandering across the lands, wounded and scattered, when a coatl dragon with a young pearlcatcher appeared before us here in the ruins. Ethereal and calm, she spoke to us, and said 'Stay in the light and you will be aided and prosperous.' Of course we were desperate, so we took her up on that, and her words held true. We've been here ever since."
He pauses, then continues, "I don't really know what ever happened to Tor and Rill. Sometimes, every once in a blue moon, I can swear I see them off in the distance, or through the mist, nodding in approval, or just watching. Perhaps," he hums in amusement, "perhaps I'm simply getting old."
