Ravasaadi began her life in the Capital, the only daughter of a high-class family of scholars. She knew only sunlit libraries and dusty archives for most of her childhood, silent havens that fostered a creative imagination, and a thirst for the kind of adventures she would read about in the pages of old novels. Wealth and status were not enough to keep her out of trouble, and she soon found a new kind of excitement mixing with ruffians on the Capital’s streets. Away from the gaze of studious parents, she learned to wield a blade at a young age, to handle it with skill; to slide coins out of pockets and lie her way through difficult situations. There were far too many opportunities for her mischief to go unchecked in the labyrinthine city, and so her family sent her to the mountain, to serve a newly crowned King in the hopes that it might steer her in a different, more prosperous direction.

Fighting was comfortable, familiar, and so Ravasaadi enlisted to become a knight of the Isroqir, and spent her adolescence training in their army. She had learned focus from the hours spent paging through historical tomes, studied resourcefulness as she bartered and dueled on the streets, and her dedication earned her one promotion after the next as she threw herself into her work and practiced tirelessly with blade and shield. It was not long until she received a summons from the King, and an invitation to join his private guard. Well accustomed to throwing herself haphazardly into any new challenge that arose, Ravasaadi accepted his offer, and gave up her voice under the oath of silence. After another year of intensive training, she fell into step with the rest of the Ashurad.

In duty she is harsh and rigid, always alert. After her armour and blade have been retired for the day, she is somewhat subdued, hard edges turned soft. There is a gentleness about her presence that goes unseen beneath the metal plates and ornate helmet, a hidden intelligence in the glint of her eye; but whatever clever thought lingers in her mind, it can never be given voice.
