Biography
Along the crumbling walls of the hospital's main building are dozens of holes, large and small, some are Imperial sized and some only a Fae could fit in. Many faes have built amber colored nests in these small holes, other sized dragons have built dens of varying degrees of cleanliness. This messy area has a sign hastily put up over it, "Please do not climb into the holes! These are NOT designated den spaces! Do so at your own risk!"
One hole, average sized, has a shaking shivering and extremely skinny Pearlcratcher laying in it, his head poking out over the edge. The sign next to his den says, 'Please do not disturb.' He is clutching a round object...a fluffy stuffed woolen sphere shaped pillow. Its stained, and has a few loose stitches. There's no sign of this poor creature's actual eggshell pearl.
"This is my pearl!" he'll say, showing the pillow to anybody who asks him about it. "It was MADE for me!" and jump back into his hole, disappearing deep into the black where only the glitter of his frightened eyes peers back.
Another Junji Ito fan dragon, this time from the manga short story The Enigma of Amigara Fault. Its an extremely claustrophobic read, I encourage you to read it though, you'll love the memes you'll find as a result of this amazingly creepy story. I also wanted to reference Baldwin's transformation from Pearlcatcher to Bogsneak, which I wasn't a member of FR for but I did think would be an amusing and perfect way to present this manga to the world!
