In the Council of Nine Tess often timidly raises her hand and waits to be called upon when she has something to say. Sometimes she has a quiet discussion with Ivy over her idea before discussing it with the whole council. Occasionally she just goes over to Angela and whispers something in her ear. Her solutions are considered creative or outside the box. Tess had a rather normal upbringing. She lived in a large clan and had trouble vying for attention. She was often overlooked and occasionally bullied which makes her insecure at present. Tess very uneasy when in large crowds, but she is uneasy when alone too. She likes to hang with one or two clan members at all times. Tess considers Ivy her older sister even though she is older than Ivy. Most of the time Tess and Ivy are seen together, but Tess will sometimes go exploring with Crystal or hang around Zuleika when Ivy is busy. Tess was afraid of Avis at first, but with time overcame that fear. Tess is scared of Leila because of her rough ways. Tess is frail and suffers from chronic headaches. Sometimes she has to miss a meeting of the Council of Nine because her head is pounding. Occasionally Tess temporarily loses the ability to speak due to her headaches. Tess takes Feverfew regularly it helps reduce her headaches, but they are still present.
