S U N S E T T E R
APPRENTICE WARRIOR ”A TWISTING BALL OF RAGE AND ENTHUSIASM”
Origins - Sunsetter was orphaned and left to die, left behind by her nomad clan when they moved on to a new camp. She used to wonder why they left her- A strong, capable hatchling that was more than a few months old. Then, as she grew older, she learned why. She had been raised by a Wildclaw mother, not her real one. Her egg had been slipped into the nest of her fake mother, so that she could live free of her real mother's crimes.
Unfortunately, this plan backfired. When her fake father found out that his wife had given birth to a Spiral, he thought that his mate had betrayed him. Hurt and angry, he ordered the execution of his mate and the exile of the Spiral hatchling. Sunsetter, young and irrational, fought her way to survival. She learned to solve her problems through fighting, scaring off any Beastclans that dared to try and take advantage of her. She used her boundless energy to forge ahead day and night, and began to look forward to the next time she could fight something. She live on rage, fueled by rash decisions and quick thinking. Until one day, in her travels, she encountered a dragon. She fought him, of course, but though he was cool, calm, and collected, hardly moving as fast as she was, he beat her, fair and square. She was dazed and confused, so he led her back to his clan, where she found a home. His name was Kirakiro- And he is now her mentor, teaching her to control her anger and fight rationally. Personality - Sunsetter is hotheaded and aggressive, always looking for a fight- Until she's not, and then she's a sweet and caring friend. Her time in the Clan of Magic Roses has brought out a sweet side that she never knew she had, and has also cooled her aggressive tendencies. She still likes to fight, but it is less for survival, now, and more just for fun, to show her affection to others. Relationships - Sunsetter loves to make friends, and has quite a few, but her best friend is Griffinila. It might seem strange, considering that the two are total opposites, but, as the saying goes, opposites attract. The same can be said of Sunsetter and Kirakiro, her mentor. While the two may have wildly different fighting strategies, they still get along surprisingly well, with little quarrels throughout their many training sessions. Sunsetter simply respects Kirakiro as a stronger warrior than her. Clan Role - As an apprentice to Kirakiro, Sunsetter counts as one of the clan’s warriors. She is responsible for defending the clan against enemy attacks, though she is called on less often than other, more senior warriors. This is simply because she is still training, working to improve her combat skills every day with training drills and exercises. She is working on a more physical style of fighting, using her spiked armor to her advantage. Magic - Magic is of no interest to Sunsetter, as she is much too impatient to ever cast a spell, let alone have the concentration required to do so. Occasionally she will accidentally summon a little zap of electricity, but her magical skills end there. |
