(i go off the headcannon that pearlcatchers saliva keeps flowing even if they lose the pearl it can fuse teeth but other dragons have found ways to bend it to their advantage, you can read it in more detail here and here) Florence is known to be quite shady, all her clanmates know it. no one knows where she came from, she had appeared as a hatchling one day, wandered into the clan from flamecaller-knows where. she would fight rough in training, using her claws and coming close to killing one of her mentors, injuring other apprentices, Florence wasnt trusted and nightflight kept pushing her back in her training, she soon lashed out threatening her mentor, the mentor knowing what happened to the past mentor soon gave her a role as a part time guard. during this time as a guard she was extremely hostile to anyone whom she didnt know, she caused a traders death and gotten herself into countless amounts of fights. she was easy to anger and her moods shifted easily and quickly, she always got what she wanted even if it resulted in another dragon's death. nightflight soon banished her from guard duties, growling at her to never come back. Florence was angered by this, one day while nightflight was alone hunting in the forest Florence took the opportunity, she crept up on nightflight, nightflight was her prey, she kept her body low keeping an eye on the unknowing leader. Florence pounced onto the leader's back, dragging her claws across the scales, lunging for nightflight's neck... nightflight suddenly rolled over crushing Florence under her weight, Florence didn't know what happened, she felt a large claw hit her face. she woke up hours later locked up in the jail deep in the clans cave, at first she was angered, rattling the bars of her cage and yelling, but after she gave up it soon dawned on her, where was her pearl?, she panicked knowing of the story's she had been told, it was nowhere to be found. she had to shake her fear and moved to plotting her escape, she lost track of time because as soon as she knew it she was let out of the birdcage that held her down, her father blauw had begged her to be released, the soft dragon didn't see the towards what he'd just done. Florence, now pealess she began to form large overgrown teeth, these teeth causing headaches and her jaw muscles in a constant state of pain, one day whilst brooding she came up with an idea, using carving tools she began to carve her teeth into daggers, deadly and sharp, she even began to cave runes and patterns into her teeth. word on the wind came around with a rumor of a group of assassins refereed to as "the scarlet rabbit" had formed, out of curiosity Florence or as she was previously known as rosefinch, went in search for the scarlet rabbit, after a simple show of her bloody fangs they gladly welcomed her into the ranks. she worked to rise in ranks of the SR, becoming a powerful and efficient killer. one day during one of her missions she was caught, now with her identity known the clan had been witch hunting her, the scarlet rabbit never knew of this failure. due to the many dragons who now wanted her dead and a bounty on her head, Florence turned to the only source she knew that could help her. Florence calmly strode into the deep caves, ignoring others warnings, she was looking for Misutikku a sorceress who had been known for helping others. Misutikku's caves were covered in purple and blues, colors that made Florence stand out with her bright scales. "ahem- hello Misutikku, i am Florence and i come in search of your expertise" Florence said her voice powerful yet the tones on her voice flat, Misutikku turned around "what do you seek dear?" she noticed it was Florence, Misutikku was understandably shocked to see Florence, knowing of her history, although Misutikku was holding back questioning Florence "i seek to change my face" Misutikku looked down towards her tea she griped in her weak claws. "are you sure dear?" Florence glared at Misutikku, of course she was sure. "dear explain why you are here?" as soon as Misutikku finished Florence snorted "do you ever stop asking questions? just get this over with" she snapped viciously towards Misutikku "do you have an offering?" she said, Florence bared her teeth revealing her large fangs. "i have skills unlike many others, i can hunt down a single dragon of your choice as an offering" "dear i do not wish harm on-" "will you take my offering or not?" Misutikku thought for a second, "there is one dragon that has been a threat to me and my clan" "go on- i don't have all day" misutikku paused for a second, the actions of this dragon were strange, the flat monotone voice seeming to hide something. "Kyou, this dragon is dangerous, in his curiosity has lead the poor dear down a dark path." Florence set off, her sights set to sink her teeth into this dragons neck. she was surprised to find a snapper who was twisted with a strange black ooze coming from his mouth, the snapper was fast asleep with his neck exposed, she easily took him out, sinking her dagger teeth into his large throat. she returned with kyou's wings, Misutikku hesitantly changed her looks to a beautiful blue pearlcatcher, Misutikkus final words before Florence stormed off where "watch you path dear, you may find yourself in a troublesome future" Florence changed her name and continues to rise in ranks within the scarlet rabbit, her clan mates avoiding her at all costs, she doesn't care, she accepted her isolation and her own clans hatred for her.
