If there's anything you'll notice right away from Domael, it is the fact that he is very insecure, easily stressed out and has tendency to overreact to smallest of things. Mirror has hard time letting others get close to him, and he seems to even have small fear of crowds, which really isn't helping. Thankfully, he has Hazarath on his side, ready to encourage and help him if he ever needs, and she can easily tell when he is getting too stressed and will do what's needed to get him calm down. She also takes care of speaking for him when he wants. When near him, or whenever he is comfortable, he is quite fun and nice to be around, and he is friendly and willing to help if he can, which is not that often the case due to his poor physical strength and tendency to be kinda clumsy. What Haz and most other members of pack don't know however is the past of the alchemist: most don't even know that his muteness is because of physical damage on his vocal chords and not because he prefers to not speak. Domael really is not willing to share his past with anyone: his apprenticeship under a very cruel alchemist who forced him to swallow acid so he wouldn't tell their secrets to outsiders, how his first crush ended up killing several dragons and ended up murdered herself, and few other minor things. He appreciates the fact no-one is really asking about those things either. Although he is bit shy and doesn't like to talk about it, Domael is very skilled alchemist, and has specialized in the field of creating life with certain materials. The sad part is that he is absolutely terrified of anything he makes, for reason most don't even wanna know. He also has quite nice skills with making gold as well however, and has made his own necklace way back, and despite the bad memories it has, he is too sentimental to ever take it off. Haz has suggested he could make new one that is exactly alike his old one, but he isn't too excited to do so. It is also not a secret that Domael adores his mate a lot, and the feeling seems to be mutual, although it's clear he is way more idolizing over her than she is over him. No mirror in the pack doubts even a second that if Hazarath ever ends up in trouble she can't get out of, Domael would literally sacrifice himself for her. Some even thing that if two would break up, he would likely die from heartbreak, which probably isn't far from truth. However, as time goes on, he seems to slowly get braver and more and more able to do things himself, like interact with other people through his quite mediocre writing skills or with some type of sign language utilized for mirror dragons, although with latter most still need Haz to translate what everything means. |
