Biography

The Arsonist
Glowing Globe
Flamerest Embers
Enchanted Candle
Many moons ago, four orphaned eggs were found by the gatherers of this clan. They were swiftly brought to the caretaker of the nests, who looked after the eggs as if they were her own. Among these four was an egg as warm as embers, and another egg as soft as windswept grass. Though the caretaker considered separating the two, she could not bring herself to do so, since the eggs were found bundled together.

The four eggs brought three young Mirrors, and one young Guardian from the Wind egg, named Dulaman. This Guardian felt the need to stay close to the Fire Mirror, named Spectre, believing that he had known his charge since before his birth.

The Fire Mirror did not mind, and let him stay as she bonded with the other Mirrors and formed their own small pack. In time, their pack changed: one Mirror, Macabre, had shifted into a pearlless Pearlcatcher, and the Fire Mirror shifted into a Nocturne. Despite their new bodies, the four were still close friends through thick and thin.

But the Nocturne grew reckless. She was a prodigy with her fire, and believed she was the leader of their pack. With the protection of her friends and especially her Guardian, she thought she could do anything. Her friends could only follow along as she dragged them into her thrill-seeking adventures of dubious legality.

Soon enough, Spectre crossed an unspoken line. Despite the protest of her friends, she was determined to challenge the local smugglers. The last Mirror in their pack, Carnelian, confronted her, declaring she could not follow the Nocturne into extreme danger while she failed to protect her very friends. Macabre had been harmed in their last fight, and stood by Carnelian. And Dulaman, the Nocturne's support and lifeline, only looked at the dragon he thought was his charge and admitted that she would only bring all four of them down.

Spectre's alarm and sorrow quickly shifted into a furious rage. She lashed out at her friends for their inaction, vowing she would demolish her enemies, including them. But first she would take out the group she had originally challenged.

She was outnumbered, three to one, but her flames were fueled by unchecked emotion. In her fury she blasted down two of the other dragons, leaving only a Shadow Nocturne to face her. But he was well-versed in magic as well, and could hide in the shadows where her fire did not reach. From there, he mocked her, prodded at her heart, asking her if she was proud to live and die alone. He whittled Spectre down from the darkness while his allies recovered and began to overwhelm her, until she used the last of her magic to summon a massive inferno and flee.

The young dragon didn't need to turn around to know what she would see: the inferno would be uncontrollable, spreading out to find kindling in nearby buildings, and would summon the attention of the Clan's guards. So she used the last of her strength to flee the scene, putting herself in a self-imposed exile as she did.

Moons passed and she traveled Sorienth, searching to fill the hole in her heart with power and strength. Spectre would search for anyone and everyone willing to train or fight with her to sharpen her skills.

It was a jaded and lonely path she forced herself through, but her ire would keep her going.

- volatile and angry
- fight first, as questions later
- her chroma necklace was a gift from dulaman
- she keeps herself mad because she knows she'd be full of sorrow once she calms down
Bungees wrote on First-Impression:
Definitely a witch! I feel like she enjoys playing tricks on people and mostly comes out at night. I feel like she is probably very opinionated and will throw fireballs at anyone who gets on her wrong side. She also seems like she would be very precious about her hat and probably has a backup ready in case anything ever happens to this one.
