Bio: Son of former Aerialist Amethyst and Captain Guardswyrm Winterswift, Umbral was born naturally dark in colouring and was almost immediately snapped up by Whisperer Pralde for training in the intrigue side of the Clan. There is some in the Clan that say that Pralde deliberately chose Umbral based on his colour pattern, being almost identical to his own son the former Mage Saphi.
Became enamoured by the Head-seer Aria who he saw as both a beacon of purity and mystical knowledge to juxtapose his own much shadier nature. He tried to leave her small gifts and notes as a secret admirer, unwilling to allow someone he saw as pure to be tainted by someone like himself steeped in shadows and blood. She of course saw right through it with her powers and approached him in a deliberately open manner for courting. He's since come to realise that her 'purity' is due mainly to innocence of the wider world and tries to support her as she learns more about other Flights during her off-time knowing that kind of ignorance could hurt her in the long-run.
