Purpaidh is Scottish Gaelic for "purple"

Avid researcher from a young age, the impatient prince wanted to know everything. He dabbled in magic research, in enchantments and in anima-automation, but he still wanted to know more. His lack of careful study and thirst for results however, drove him to make a mistake. Within an explosion of magical crystal and fire, the young prince lost one thing he treasured above others; his sight.

That was the day he lost everything.

After wondering alone across the world, he found himself purposeless and hungry in the frozen planes across the Icefield. There, he was discovered by Teal, who took him in to his own clan. To The Songbird of the Twisted Spiral, an airship full of outlaws and misfits. Teal attached himself to the new, fascinating stranger and with a promise, their fates were bound.

Teal swore to work tirelessly and use his power to help him get his sight back, no matter how long it takes. Moved by the display of unexpected affection, Purpaidh accepted.

Nowadays it is rare to see one without the other, both seemingly refusing to leave each-other's proximity.
