Caveguards work in pairs, tirelessly flanking the entrances of underground lairs and labs- except in Square Toe. Though Kimball and his partner are as devoted as any other couple, the logistics of guarding this particular cave call for a slight change in routine.

In this clan, one guard watches the main entrance to Square Toe Cave while the other patrols the tunnels in the far back of the library. They take turns, of course, but Kimball opts for library duty whenever he gets the chance.

Entrance duty is long, boring, and always in the too-hot sun. Long hours wandering and exploring the back library tunnels, marking down dead ends and switchbacks, and startling the occasional mimic nest are much more Kimball's speed. There's no evidence yet that the library tunnels even connect to the main cave, but better safe than sorry, right?
