Orylis has been alive longer than a dragon should have. She hasn't exactly aged since the night she and Dulcimer were bitten by a vampire. That night scarred the duo and as much as they hate their immortality, they have to get used to it. Many years, Orylis travelled with Dulcimer, evading dragons that became suspicious as to why they never seemed to eat. Finally they had discovered a home that would take them in and didn't even care they were vampires, as long as they didn't bite anyone.

Orylis at one point made a bogsneak egg accidentally. She never expected it to happen and it soon hatched before she could do anything. Dulcimer was furious that she made one but one look at the hatchling made her complaints go away. He was cute, and the sisters agreed that he might as well live with them. Now Orochi is their younger brother that they love dearly.

Unlike the stereotype that vampires are dark and brooding, Orylis is one of the most cheerful dragons you'll ever meet. As cheerful as she is, she can also be blunt to an extreme and as much as dragons get angry at her for her rudeness, she just brushes them off. Her idealistic tendencies can leave her getting hurt while doing her alchemy experiments, which drives Dulcimer and Casper up the wall.
