Originally from Sunnyvale Gardens in Stilwater, Benjamin King rallied the youth of the neighborhood to fight back against the violence and drug peddling of Los Carnales, a gang from the city's west side.

But once the day was done, he wasn't. He took the Vice Kings and expanded them into a criminal empire, using music and civic projects as fronts and making alliances with corporations and local government, including the police.

King's downfall came from within, a new addition Tanya Winters, planning his demise by pitting his lieutenants against each other over her and who could run the organization.

He survived and went to an old friend for help.

Once again, Benjamin King and Julius Little helped take down a gang menace, though it was the one he'd helped create.

Leaving behind his empire when it was done, King went on to write an autobiography, become a motivational speaker, and an example to young men about the costs of gang life.

Having changed his life, he realizes there was another path, but he enjoyed it none the less.
