Sabazios

Sabazios was born with a powerful gift, marked at birth by the lightning-like patterns burned across his scales. He can control localized weather, and it responds to his emotions when he is not actively conscious of it. Unusually, sunny days are his least favourite and tend to occur when he is feeling depressed. Calm, contented days are accompanied by a gentle rain, but when he is happy--when he is lit from within with a powerful surge of energy and excitement--that's when the storms begin. He attracts them, and the more intense his emotions the more devastating the howling winds and driving rain. Thunder echoes, lightning crackles, and hail shatters on the earth. It is a frightful gift and one he must focus on controlling, lest he endanger those around him. It pains him emotionally to suppress the storms, and at times he is driven to solitude, flying to high mountain peaks far from others so that he can laugh and let the storms rein free. At these times he is truly a terrifying visage: manic and half-mad with power. Thankfully when he comes down from the mountain tops he is calm and controlled again, but some are concerned that one day his composed veneer might break. He could be a mighty hero or a horrifying villain, and only time will tell on which side he falls.
