Main Theme:

______ It was a cold evening in the Southern Icefield, the water covered with a thick layer of ice. Asiah lay shivering in her chambers, the woven pine needles that was her door still letting the cold air in. She was sweating, a fever seven degrees above normal. The best healers in the clan gathered around her, debating herbs and tonics. They all wanted to heal their beloved leader, but the sickness had taken her too far beyond the brink. Spasming in the icy air, she suddenly went still.

______ The clan took a day for mourning. When they returned, laden with purple flowers, the ice had spiderwebbed across her form, three inches thick, lying prone on the moss. They tied the wreaths around her neck and limbs, decorating her in blue ice and purple foliage. The best mages, in a fit of inspiration, enchanted the ice. As long as it never melted, she could remain in a transient state of semi sentience, not fully there but still able to think and occasionally feel. By all counts, they had saved her.
