The leader of Graygarden's merchant caravan - well, for a given definition of "leader", anyway. It's not like Five gives all that many orders, and Ada is really the only one that obeys those few he does give, but close enough.

Five is a chatty, forever perky fellow without a single mean bone in his rotund body. Imagine your stereotypical Mirror, and then imagine the polar opposite of that, and you have Five in a nutshell. The first impressions he makes are more or less along the lines of "what the heck are you?"

Despite being a "merchant" he's rather bad at figuring out the worth of things and relies on his fellow caravanners to tell him when he's wildly off base; on the flip side he possesses a photographic memory. Graygarden's supervisors are very particular about record keeping, but Five's memory is so good that the caravan doesn't bother keeping written records at all. Definitely a plus in that line of work!

Character Notes
• Named for a mutation that gives him five fingers on each hand/foot rather than the usual four. It's a pretty useless mutation, all things considered.
• Five is mostly blind - his main pair of eyes can only make out vague shadows, his heat vision eyes are better but still not as good as they should be. He was born like this and thus knows nothing else; he's well adapted to his lack of sight and strangers usually don't realize he's vision impaired at all.
• He has a tendency to touch everything and comes across as weirdly touchy feely. Despite what one might expect from a Mirror he has a strong aversion to licking things or otherwise putting them in his mouth.
