B I O G R A P H Y

Cold, calculating, and vicious. Some argue for his apparent sociopathy, especially in regard to the inhumane draconic experiements he used to conduct. The only sign that he has any kind of feeling is the fact that he treats his mate incredibly well. When he initially met her, he sought to use her as a tool to further his ambitions. But as time went on, he could not help but to be drawn in by her nature. Never before had there been a dragon who could make him feel such emotion. Her very presence made him care; which was initially sickening. But despite his best efforts, he found that their lives had inextricably intertwined. Never, he realized, would he be able to leave her. And so when she made him choose between her and his work, he had no choice. He followed her to the land of the Lightweaver, and did his best to settle in.

Nobody knows for sure what his experiments were about. The scientists he used to work with are sworn to secrecy, and his mate Spectra dares not utter a word about it. Some say he seeks to mess with the fabric of magic itself, other say he is obsessed with the notion of bringing back the dead, a topic that is often taboo amongst imperials.

As far as running the clan goes, he doesn't so much as lead them as he does tolerate them; most of the dragons that show up on his doorstep are the ones that his mate drags in. All of them eccentric and unwanted by most standards, he still has no choice but to help carve out a living for them. Were it up to him, he and his mate would live alone, back in either the Cloudscrape Crags, or deep down in the farthest reaches of Shadow's territory, where he may perhaps continue his work. Work that so easily makes him spiral into an obsessive frenzy. His mate would not appreciate being forcibly dragged to such places; though he was quite capable if he wanted to - but Spectra is quite terrifying when she throws a fit, and Vince couldn't imagine what kind of tantrum she'd throw if he tried to part her from her precious 'clan members'. He could only hope one day she'd tire of them.

B I O G R A P H Y

Vince used to be among one of the head scientists for the Stormcatcher. He was quiet, reserved, and calculating. The others regarded him as dangerous. They were not incorrect. Vince's magical experiments became more and more volatile, until finally he moved his tests high amongst the Cloudscrape Crags. A place where disappearances were waved off, and the screams said to just be the howling of the wind... But before he had become obsessed with his work, he had an accidental pair of eggs with another imperial named Luna. As the eggs drew closer to their hatchdate, onlookers were shocked to see Luna leave one night in a rage, claiming she had seen the evil in his heart, and declared Vince to be a monster. She renounced the eggs, and left Vince to raise them on his own. One daughter mated with Rex, the other with Charles. They both held no real connection with their father, as disinterested as he was. By the time other scientists claimed he had truly lost his mind, his daughters had already left and settled elsewhere.

It was not by accident Vince found his mate. He initially sought her out, seeking to harness her powerful magic and use it for his own purposes. But fate had its own plan, and he ended up falling for her. Unable to resist her, and she him, they abandoned his lab among the Crags and Vince followed her to the land of the Lightweaver. Rejoined by his two hopeful daughters and their mates, Spectra was determined to carve out a life for them. But deep down, his daughters knew Vince was only there for the happiness of his new mate, not them. Vince would just as easily have left and returned to the Crags, were Spectra to let him. Devastated, the two of them sought a higher purpose serving the Lightweaver.

The extreme conditions of the Crags seem to have permanently whitened parts of him. And others swear that they can sometimes see his breath frost over even on the hottest days of the year. No one amongst the clan dares defy him. Other dragons that do always seem to vanish without explanation.

Children - All incredibly gifted, but most are drawn to serve their diety.
