Hesitation. He was too hesitant and it cost him his first family. Not trusting his monocular eyesight nor his own lanky limbs he always lagged behind, slowly-so slow he lost sight of everyone. They left him and even now he fears it will happen again.
When he first joined the clan any dragon who got close to him would only hear the sound of flipping pages and the occasional growl. Withdrawn he was in pages that seemed to have all the time in the world. Luckily depending on who you might ask, some brave dragon didn’t care and invaded his space. They were hatchlings at the time but Austin blushed remembering a sky dancer who simply shouted dork and proceeded to read with him. Whiffing the smell of smoked pumpkins in waves the hatchling from then covered in weeds played a large roll in making him the plant enthusiast he is today.

Austin is mainly in charge of the clans flora gathering.
Sometimes travelers make the mistake of pointing out how gentle the giant is and end up wide eyed as he turns into just about three shades of rose red. Forgetting the fact he stomped a foe into plant fertilizer a hour earlier.

With a laugh lighter than a breeze he like always makes sure his movements are clear before lunching himself in the air and waiting for the guests to follow him to the garden. He ignores the voice that sounds like his pumpkin smelling lover cheering for him to send everyone crashing.
