Part of the new clan - those who came as the Third Age was drifting into the Fourth - Rivercave held his own morals close to his heart during the clan's rebuilding, and his upbringing showed through in a steadfast will to serve the best interests of the Clan and leader, without emotional weaknesses to bring its downfall.

Rivercave is the definition of a dutiful dragon, cold to the core and willing to put his clan above anything. One of the younger Imperials in the clan, River joined after the devastation left in Cavern's wake, as the elders Cernnunos and Crystalfire guided and led the clan in the absence of the Ascendants. Rivercave has always put the clan above his personal will and beliefs, even his own family, making him a valuable and loyal ally to Centurion. 		______________

Born in the vines of the Tangled Wood, Rivercave was raised in a clan that put duty and loyalty above all else. At the border between Light, Water, Lightning, and Shadow, his clan kept an ancient watch on the crossing-point, the ritual of their Flight buried deep. After an outburst with a border clan of Lightning, the clans decided to swap their warriors, discouraging further conflict.

Rivercave was sent as a young adult to the Shifting Expanse, pledging allegiance to the clan he was stationed with, and making the Lightning lands his home. The agreement didn't stop the conflict between the clans, but Rivercave's sense of duty drove him to completely abandon his regrets in the raids, throwing his weight in fully with his new clan.

The time came for further negotiations, during which it was proposed for Rivercave to change Flights once again; instead of giving in to this demand, his clan told him to leave, denying Light the chance to gain the warrior. Dutifully, River left the Shifting Expanse, searching for a new clan with the fervor of a Guardian.

Burning with the pride of his defiant departure, River found himself in the Labyrinth. Finding it similar to the Tangled Wood, his original response was disgust; however, upon meeting a young Imperial outside the confines of the lair, their stories and vision clicked easily into place. The Imperial - Redwing, or so she called herself - believed peace and careful footing had damaged her clan, leading it to its weakened, distraught state. Understanding the danger of a weakened clan, Rivercave took this as his calling.

Used to conflict, Rivercave took Centurion's takeover in stride, pledging his loyalty to the Trio and helping her claim power in the clan as Cernnunos stood aside for them. When his son was stolen, Rivercave chose to follow Centurion, deciding revenge to strengthen the clan would be a truer course of action than retrieving Cave safely and unharmed. Once the fight was over, River tended to his son only when the clan had settled its matters of pride.
