Devan's life as a hatchling was full of learning. He learned how to read and write from his mother while learning the ways of the warrior from his father. The literature lessons from his mom were his favorite, he looked forward to them everyday. On the other hand, he despised the lessons of his father. He didn't want to be a warrior. He would rather spend his time with pen and paper.

When his mother left them, he found he had nothing to stay for. He left too, in search of somewhere he could do what he wanted most. He found what he was looking for in Clan Elixir.

Devan writes down the clans laws, treaties, and religious texts. He also sometimes records business deals and transactions. He also keeps track of the clans resources and legal matters.

He likes to write poetry in his free time.
