 B I O G R A P H Y
Named after the Mesopotamian goddess of Kur (the underworld). In the clan, she is primarily responsible for the proper and respectful cremation of deceased dragons, performing all public funerary rites. Her assistant, Pandemic, handles the more behind-the-scenes functions such as embalming, wrapping, and gathering of those most cherished of the deceased's belongings to be cremated along with their owner. Her role has, almost inevitably, birthed the rumour that she can foretell the death of a dragon some days before it occurs. This is, of course, a nonsense, but Ereshkigal will sometimes lean into the rumour if she feels she can use the reputation to get her way in certain matters.
