Tokay is not a true dragon. She's a rare shape-shifting creature, which take on the form of dragons so that they can win their trust, then eat them. She's by no means some evil beast however. Tokay took quite a liking to dragons as a species, and pleaded with the council of The Secrets to let her stay and learn more about them. She is strictly vegetation, staunchly avoiding eating any meat at all, lest it make her hunger for dragon. She's one of the leading researchers on dragonkind, making brilliant advances on the understanding of their bodies and minds. Her fortay, however, is draconic culture. She's friendly and very studious, though she can be a bit guarded. She doesn't like letting herself be alone with a dragon, not trusting her own nature. The only members of the clan she does hang out with alone are the demons and demi-gods, as they're not true dragons and she feels zero impulse to eat them at all. She has a good relationship with Sprite, one of her best friends.

Her staying in the clan is a big advantage to them, however. To others of her species, this is clearly a territory owned by someone, so they steer clear to avoid confrontation. Little do they know Tokay is actually weak, as plants are usually only eaten by her species when times are tough. Tokay does have more of an influence than many realise, however. Dragons are instinctively fearful of her species, and staying around her too long causes many to break out in a cold sweat. There's a reason your hair stands on end when you walk past her.
