Not one single person in the court can recall Iosefka's entry into the court. She simply appeared, and has been a faithful part of the castle ever since. She works as the court's doctor alongside with Vicar, offering her services to those who either do not wish to be treated by the other doctor or are simply too far away from Vicar's clinic and are forced to go to Iosefka.
Iosefka herself is a kind, gentle soul, and passionate about her duties. She will never turn anyone away should they need her help, no matter who the asker is, and no matter the hour. She excels at speaking gently, easing anyone's minds and their worries when they come to her. However, as kind as she may be, she is persistently afraid. It does not matter how many times they remind her, she persistently speaks of the fear of replacement, of someone taking her place and leaving her behind, and for no one to take notice. It's a fear that impairs her often, and on especially bad days, the door to her clinic remains shut, only speaking to those who come calling from the other side of the door and refusing to show her face. Nevertheless, she does her job well and with passion, so her bad days are smoothed over, forgiven and forgotten. |
