B I O G R A P H Y The sky was an obsidian abyss adorned with twinkling, white specs that faintly illuminated the night alongside the moon in a blanket of soft, gray light. Sanguine scales, both large and sleek reflected this light as a slithery form emerged from the tree line and into a more vacant field of short shrubs and ferns. The imperial’s maw pointed at the sky, and two large, dark red wings expanded as he leaped away from the ground. Aslan’s whole life had been a story belonging in some twisted story-tale. He was the prince—the rightful heir to his father and mother’s throne of ice. And yet, he refused to become the king to this clan. The clan that was so unjust. Its morals lacked in ways that Aslan could not tolerate, and could not even hope to change. It was easier to start out anew, but even then it would still be a daunting task. Amongst the clouds, another dragon appeared. This one was similar in its beauty but boasted feminine assets instead of the musculature that Aslan had warranted from years of being trained. He observed the female, and through his expression of focus, a small, barely noticeable smile appeared. It was his bride, the female Skydancer whose feathers he had adored since he first laid eyes on them. Though tonight, his gaze stayed on her eyes. He spoke, quiet, but confident and firm in tone, “Are you ready?” His eyes searched hers for any reluctance. He knew he was asking a lot. He had thought this over for what seemed an eternity. And he concluded that they had to leave. They just had to. “Yes.” He seemed to ponder on her response for a moment, hovering in the air next to her. You’ve always been a good liar, Tiara. How could she be ready? He wasn’t even sure if he was. Still, he couldn’t afford to turn back now. All the preparations had been made, and it was the perfect time to leave. They would create a clan. And furthermore a legacy built on his values and not of his parents.

_FAMILY ORIGINS_

____Aslan’s blood is rich in history. His paternal line has been known as the ‘red-stained giants of the ice.’ They had been complimented on their deathly red appearance, and over his childhood, Aslan gained a sense of pride because of it. There was nothing wrong with being confident, was there? At least unlike his father, Aslan hadn’t grown into a cocky dragon. He’s a little disobedient, but usually only when there is a conflict with his morals. It was the original reason that he left his old clan in the first place. Now, however, he leads a new small, humble clan that is still developing. He hasn’t dare told them where he is from. The icy lands in which he came from doesn’t exactly have the greatest reputation for producing the kindest of dragons. And all he wants is for his dragons to trust him. And furthermore, he wants to be a significantly better leader than what his father was.

_A PARADOX_

____Paradoxes are a funny thing. And while Aslan isn’t contradicting himself all the time, he’s had his fair share of moments that has made even himself wonder. He’s loyal, and yet he left his family and his birth-clan as soon as he could. In fact, he’s repressed his feelings for the clan so much that it’s become a vulnerable spot if anyone brings it up—which luckily for him only his mate knows. His feelings are what guides him. If something feels wrong, he can’t go through with it. It’s one of his qualities that his mate was drawn to. He’s genuinely good even if he has spikes of bossiness and compulsiveness that has led to a few regrets. He will think about things at a later time though, and even own up to needing to give an apology if he needs to. Or maybe if he just wants to have a guilt-free conscious. He can’t imagine ruining the only sense of family he has left. He loves deeply, even if he is willing to detach for what he is most loyal to: his morals.
