Biography

Background
Born into the clan as a son of Roarke and Vasalja, Sunflower grew up playing in the swamp with Em and his twin sister Umbra. One of the 2 twins that hatched from Roarke's and Vasalja's first clutch, Sunflower was named for his bright body and leafy wings. As kids, all three would tumble around and practice their magic together. Em often got tired of practicing magic, but Sunflower and his sister would spent all evening trying to out do each other. As Sunflower grew older, the excitement of magic left him and he decided he wanted a quiet life like his mother.
Role and skills
Ever since childhood, Sunflower has been an impressive mage, but he ultimately settled down and became the clan's scribe, philosopher, and data analyst, preferring to stick up in his nest away from any chaos. He still remembers his magic now and will use it to help anyone if he can. But it is more common for him to be recording the arrival of new clan members or to be cataloging new species of plants.
Personality
Sunflower is often a bore, talking in a monotone voice about philosophy and statistics. So it's a good thing that he often wants to be alone too. But one thing that only his inner circle really knows is that he is exceptionally kind, always willing to put something aside for a friend.
Family
Sunflower has always thought Lavender's colors were beautiful and was always playing with her in the gardens ever since she was a hatchling. One day, Sunflower's sister flew up to his nest in the clan tree: "Lavender is looking for you." And he was out the door before she could tell him why.
He raced down to the garden where he knew Lavender would be and arrived panting as if he was running from a monster. "You wanted to see me?"
"You didn't need to come that fast silly!" she laughed. "But I wanted to show you this!" She stepped back to reveal a seedling sunflower. "Here's it's papers," she says, handing Sunflower a stack of papers, "There's locations, genetics and growing notes. Have fun!" Lavender quickly gives Sunflower a kiss before sending him back. He stands there, unable to take the joy; a kiss and genetics in one trip! It's a miracle! It was a while after this before Sunflower and Lavender really got together, but it all worked out in the end.
